Thank you for visiting our patient information page. Here you will find details to help you stay fully informed about our dental practice:

• We are currently not accepting new NHS patients (Updated – July 2025)
• We are a cashless surgery as of June 2023. Please bring a form of payment with you to each appointment.
• Our chairs have a weight limit of 21 stone (135kg). If you weigh more than 21st (135kg) please inform our reception staff who will make appropriate arrangements for your future dental care.
• If you are an NHS patient who has not attended the practice for over 3 years, you will automatically be transferred to our Newburn Independent Scheme. This is a fee-per-item scheme, with the cost of an exam priced at £45.
• If you frequently Do Not Attend (DNA) or late cancel appointments, we reserve the right to refuse treatment on the NHS here at Newburn Dental Surgery.

Independent Scheme

• We require a £45 deposit to book appointments on the Independent scheme. If you do not attend the appointment, or cancel late within 24 hours, we reserve the right to take the £45 deposit as a ‘Failed to Attend’ charge.
• Our prices are reviewed annually, and reserve the right to change the cost of a treatment if you have not attended the practice for a prolonged period of time.
