If you normally pay for NHS dental treatment, the amount you spend will depend on what treatment you need.  The NHS price bands are as follows:

  • NHS fees Band 1 and Urgent Treatment = £20.60 which covers examination, diagnosis and advice.
  • NHS fees Band 2 = £56.30 which covers all treatment included in Band 1, plus additional treatment, such as fillings, root canal treatment and removing teeth (extractions).
  • NHS fees Band 3 = £244.30 which covers all treatment included in Bands 1 and 2, plus more complex procedures, such as crowns, dentures and bridges.
